The foundational and most important ministry at Bethzatha Baptist Church is faithful attendance at corporate worship services. This ministry serves as the source from which all other ministries flow. When God's people gather to hear His Word preached and offer Him praise, it becomes the most relevant and effective ministry for all individuals—regardless of age, marital status, or role in life. Through His Word and Spirit, God addresses each person uniquely, making this ministry more significant than any other specialized ministry.
Here are our 5 Key Ministries in Bethzatha Baptist Church Nairobi
Faithful preaching of God's Word is central to the church’s life and mission. 'Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.' (2 Timothy 4:2) The pulpit ministry is central to Bethzatha Baptist Church, where faithful preaching of God’s Word is prioritized. We are blessed with two dedicated pastors, Pastor Michael Maura and Pastor Anthony Waswa, who labor weekly to feed the flock. Additionally, five or more brothers in the congregation regularly preach, alongside guest preachers and teachers who occasionally visit and edify the church. Rooted in the charge to “Preach the word” (2 Timothy 4:2), this ministry seeks to exalt Christ, edify the saints, and call sinners to repentance, making God’s Word the foundation for life and godliness.

At Bethzatha Baptist Church, we are deeply committed to singing psalms and traditional hymns as part of our worship, reflecting our strong biblical convictions. Over the past two years, the church has been intentionally learning new hymns, with over 100 hymns added to our repertoire during this time. We also dedicate time to unlearning and relearning hymns we already know, ensuring that our singing remains both doctrinally sound and heartfelt.

Throughout the year, our children have journeyed through Scripture, studying books like John, Romans, Matthew, and Judges. Gathering for prayer and mutual encouragement strengthens the body of Christ. Our Weekly Fellowships provide a vital space for believers to gather, study God’s Word, pray, and build lasting relationships in the community. These fellowships are an important part of our church life, fostering spiritual growth and mutual encouragement. In addition to these area-based fellowships, we also have specialized gatherings for different groups on Saturdays. The Men’s, Ladies’, and Youth Fellowships meet on alternating Saturdays, providing tailored opportunities for each group to grow in their faith, fellowship, and service. These weekly fellowships help strengthen our church community as we seek to live out our faith together.
